ASU in the Community is a university-wide resource that catalogs ASU's community outreach activities. The website presents basic information about the wide variety of ASU programs that touch the lives of Arizona's citizens almost every day.
Break Away's mission is to train, assist, and connect campuses and communities in promoting quality alternative break programs that inspire lifelong active citizenship.
A national nonprofit organization that encourages young people to help build their communities. Organizer of The Kindness & Justice Challenge, a nationwide two-week character education and community service effort in January, and the organizer of Webstock96.
Provides short-term, long-term and college internship programs in Costa Rica, Thailand, or Kenya. These volunteer programs target three primary project areas: Environment, Health and Education.
ASU Department of Psychology, with support from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and from the Informational Technology Office, has been developing the University-Community Partnership for Social Action Research Network (UCP-SARnet) for two years and will be launching the network on April 18, 2008. The launch event will be hosted by the Centre for International Governance Innovations (Waterloo, Canada) and organized by the Centre for Community Based Research (Kitchener, Canada). The project is a collaboration of the ASU Department of Psychology and university faculty and students from Canada, England, Italy and Poland.
